Ingredients

  • 2 cups cubed frozen watermelon ripe, seeds removed, ensures sweet juicy flavor
  • 1 cup sliced frozen strawberries ripe, organic if available, adds natural sweetness
  • 1 cup sliced frozen bananas spotty and soft, contributes creamy texture
  • ¼-1/2 cup almond milk coconut milk, or coconut water (chilled, to adjust blending consistency and flavor)

Equipment

  • 1 High-speed blender or food processor For pureeing frozen fruit smoothly
  • 1 Tamper Optional, helpful for thick blends
  • 1 Parchment-lined baking sheet Used for freezing fruit in a single layer
  • 1 Loaf pan or individual serving bowls For storing or serving the sorbet

Method

  1. Freeze your fruit ahead of time if not already frozen, ensuring it is ripe and sweet. Slice and arrange on a parchment-lined tray and freeze for 4–6 hours until firm.
  2. Place frozen watermelon, strawberries, and bananas into a high-speed blender or food processor. Add the smaller amount of your chosen liquid.
  3. Blend on low first, then increase to high. Use a tamper if needed, or pause to scrape down the sides.
  4. If the mixture is too thick, slowly add more liquid, careful not to overdo it. Optionally, allow fruit to thaw slightly before blending again.
  5. Transfer the sorbet into serving bowls and enjoy immediately, plain or topped with extra fruit. Or, store in a parchment-lined container and freeze for a firmer texture.
