Ingredients
  

  • 1 teaspoon matcha powder finely ground green tea powder for smooth texture
  • 4 ounces water hot, but not boiling, to dissolve matcha
  • 1 cup milk use dairy or plant-based milk like oat, soy, or almond
  • ¼ cup boba pearls pre-cooked tapioca pearls, chewy texture
  • 1 teaspoon honey or simple syrup optional, for sweetness

Equipment

  • 1 Small bowl or cup For whisking the matcha powder and water together.
  • 1 Frothing Wand or small whisk Helps dissolve the matcha smoothly and creates a nice frothy texture.
  • 1 Serving cup A tall glass works best to showcase the beautiful layers of the drink.
  • 1 Boba straw Optional but recommended for easily sipping up the chewy boba pearls.

Method
 

  1. Prepare the boba pearls according to package directions and set aside to cool.
  2. In a small bowl or cup, whisk together the matcha powder and water until smooth.
  3. In a glass, add the cooled boba pearls and some ice.
  4. Pour in the milk and stir in the sweetener, if using.
  5. Finally, pour the matcha mixture into the cup and stir. taste and adjust sweetness if needed.
