Ingredients
  

  • ¼ cup Granulated Sugar For sweetness
  • 2 teaspoons Ground Cinnamon Adds spice and warmth
  • 4 ounces Spiral Duros These puffed wheat snacks are the key ingredient
  • Vegetable Oil for frying High smoke point, ideal for deep frying

Equipment

  • 1 Small mixing bowl For mixing cinnamon-sugar topping
  • 1 Large pot or deep fryer For frying the twists
  • 1 Slotted spoon To remove the twists from the oil
  • 1 Paper towels For draining excess oil from the twists
  • 1 Large mixing bowl For tossing the cinnamon twists with the sugar

Method
 

  1. Combine the cinnamon and sugar in a small bowl. prep
  2. Heat the vegetable oil in a large pot or deep fryer to about 350°F. prep
  3. Carefully add the duros in batches of 10-15 pieces to the hot oil. Fry for about 1 minute or until puffed up. Use a slotted spoon to remove. bake
  4. Set the fried twists on a paper towel-lined plate to absorb any excess oil. finish
  5. Transfer the twists to a large mixing bowl. Sprinkle the cinnamon-sugar blend over the twists and toss gently to coat. mix
  6. The cinnamon twists are now ready to be enjoyed! finish
