Ingredients
  

  • 5 ounces cream cheese softened to room temperature for smooth mixing
  • ¼ cup unsalted butter softened to room temperature for easy blending
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder adds mild savory flavor
  • ¾ teaspoon seasoned salt or a mix of kosher salt, paprika, and black pepper
  • 3 cups cooked chicken diced (use rotisserie or leftover chicken)
  • ¾ cup cheddar cheese shredded (sharp or mild, freshly shredded for best melt)
  • 2 tablespoons heavy cream for creamy consistency in filling
  • 2 8-ounce / 8-count cans crescent roll dough (store-bought, chilled)
  • 1 10.75-ounce can cream of chicken soup (or mushroom/celery soup)
  • ¾ cup cheddar cheese shredded (for sauce)
  • ½ cup heavy cream for sauce
  • ½ teaspoon seasoned salt for sauce
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese shredded (topping for casserole)

Method
 

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F and lightly grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.
  2. In a large bowl, mix together cream cheese, butter, garlic powder, and seasoned salt until smooth.
  3. Fold in the diced chicken and ¾ cup cheddar cheese, then stir in the heavy cream until evenly combined.
  4. Unroll crescent dough and place about 2 tablespoons of the chicken mixture onto the wide end of each triangle.
  5. Roll the dough over the filling and pinch edges to seal, then arrange seam-side down in the prepared baking dish.
  6. In a medium saucepan, combine cream of chicken soup, ¾ cup cheddar cheese, ½ cup heavy cream, and ½ teaspoon seasoned salt. cook over medium heat until smooth and warm.
  7. Pour the sauce evenly over the crescent rolls, then sprinkle with the remaining 1 cup cheddar cheese.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes or until the rolls are golden and the sauce is bubbly.
  9. Serve hot and enjoy immediately.
